*Monday - March 9, 2026 - PICTURE DAY

3:15PM - 6:00PM - Varsity Players are asked to be at the field with their uniform on with all of their softball gear by 3:15. Following pictures, Varsity will head inside to the weight room and then return to the field for the remainder of practice which will go until 6:00. 

3:15PM - 5:30PM - JV Players are asked to be at the field with their uniform on and all of their softball gear by 3:30.  JV will have their pictures and headshots taken after the Varsity is done and they will stay at the field until around 4:50. They will then head into the weight room and will finish in the weight room at 5:30.

*Tuesday - March 10, 2026 - JAMBOREE DAY

JV: You will be excUsed from school after 5th period to go to the locker room and change. You will report to the field at 2:00.

5:00PM - JV v Peninsula JV (3 inning game)

VARSITY: You will need to be at the field by 5:00 dressed in uniform and ready to warm up. 

6:00PM - Varsity v Peninsula (3 inning game)

8:00PM - Varsity v Bonney Lake (3 inning game)

Varsity: 2:55pm-4:00pm in the weight room.

JV: No practice

UNIFORMS: Players were given uniforms at the Team Bonding Event on Friday. If you believe that you are missing something or have a size issue with an item please come and see me on Monday in my classroom during your lunch or before school. Players, you do NOT need to use your team backpack to put all of your softball gear in. You can leave it in your select ball bags if you have one and if you want.

MORE ABOUT PICTURE DAY: There are not any prepay order forms. After the individual/team/buddy pictures are taken then I will be provided a link to send to our families where you can look at all the watermarked pictures that are taken and you can order whatever pictures you choose to order. Denise will also be taking headshot pictures tomorrow for the team webpage.

PRACTICE UPDATE FOR THE NEXT TWO FRIDAYS:

This Friday 3/13 the Varsity will practice in the gym/weight room from 2:55-4:00. No JV Practice

The following Friday 3/20 there will be no practice for JV or Varsity

This is due to our field being unavailable because of hosting the ARHS HS Fastpitch Invitational

THURSDAY MARCH 19TH PRACTICE UPDATE: Our school is hosting a track meet this day and our field is used during Track Meets for Discus Throwing. We are not able to access our field until that concludes which can be anywhere between 5:30-6:30.JV will practice as normal after school In the cages and weight room) however VARSITY will have a later practice. Plan on a start in the weight room around 5:15 and finishing on the field from 6-8

VARSITY TRIP SELECTION AND SHIFTS:

Starting this week, we will be notifying some players of their selection to go on the Varsity Trip during Spring Break. There will still be a few spots available after this week that will be filled so if you aren’t notified this week then know that there will still be a few spots selected in the next couple of weeks. For those that are notified this week I will be asking players to sign up for a shift at the Invitational either this coming weekend or next.

FUNDRAISER PUSH:

We did an initial push on Tuesday at the parent meeting. I would like to ask everyone to make another push this evening. The Raise365 app has a very easy way to send the message out to your contacts or however you would like. Remember that our program asks families to sell 15 boxes per player. A box is equal to $25 in donations as well. Players can earn prizes when they sell 15+ boxes which include ARHS PJ bottoms, ARHS Fastpitch Hydroflask, Food card for the Mariners game and a Team Photo Blanket. The highest selling player will earn custom turf cleats, compliments of Drew. We are off to a decent start but we need to accelerate to get to our goals! Remember that the expectation is NOT for families to just buy everything themselves. I mean, if you choose to do that, that’s fine but that’s NOT the intent. Here are some of the many things that we use the money for:

*Various annual equipment purchases

*Team Bonding Night food/entertainment costs

*Professional action photo cost for 3 games for our players from Varsity and JV
